Tuesday 19th December

Reminder - the children have a Magic Moment sheet in their book bags today, there will be many magic moments for them over the holidays please add a photo and some notes and we will include it in their learning journals.

They made it - the end of their first term at 'big' school!
The children have achieved so much and have all settled into school life really well. We are all very proud of them.

On Monday the children took part in 4 Christmas activities.  They practised their fine motor skills by winding string around Christmas trees and stars.  They all had a go at cutting out a snowflake from a circle of white paper.  They overlapped cellophane to make some lanterns and used finger paints to create a Christmas picture.

Monday afternoon was the Christmas Party!
The children had a lovely time.  They played party games, did lots of dancing and even had a visit from Father Christmas.
Back in the classroom, they had their party food and sat round tables socialising with their friends, and eating quite a lot considering they had only just had lunch!

It's very sad that we have to say a big good-bye to Mrs. Holt.
She has helped the children in so many ways and will be missed.
Mrs Holt wanted to say ' Thank you so much for all your lovely cards and best wishes.  It has been a privilege to spend time with your children at the start of their school life and to watch them make such fantastic progress.  I will miss them all lots and hope to stay in touch with their continued success!'

We are looking forward to having Miss Cane back with us in January.

A member of the ducks class will also be leaving us and going to a new school in January - we're sure she will have a lovely time but we will miss her.

THANK YOU all so much for your lovely cards and gifts.  You have been very generous and they really are appreciated.

We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and look forward to seeing you on Thursday 4th January
