- On Thursday 12th July the children will be visiting their new classes in the morning.
- Open evening is on Thursday 12th July between 5 and 7pm. Please come and visit your child's current classroom and new classroom and meet your child's new teacher.
- Phonics lesson this week have focused recapping 'ar', 'ai' 'oa' and 'or'
Thank you to those of you who were able to attend the school Fair last weekend. It was a very successful event and it was great to see so many of you there.
On Monday morning the school nurse came to talk to the children about how to keep their teeth healthy. They gave the children advise about cleaning their teeth and eating healthy food.
The next reception intake have been visiting us this week and our children have been fantastic. They been kind, polite, reassuring and welcoming. We are very proud of them.
In phonics this week the children have been revising ar, oa, or, and ai. They have practised using their phoneme fingers to sound and blend the words back together and have written sentences using some of these words.
ar- car, start, star, part, park, mark,
oa- boat, coat, goat,
or- torch, corn, porch, horn, fork
ai- chain, main, gain, rain, train
In maths this week we have practised counting on and back. We have explored part part whole and how we can extend part part whole for each number.
In ChIL the children have spent lots of time outside enjoying the beautiful weather. They have had lots of fun dressing up and playing with the guttering and cars. All the children have been focused and motivated to learn.
On Friday afternoon, the Robins' took part in a circus skills workshop with Miss Kelly. It will be Ducks turn next week.
